Love Ends

By Kennedie Hudson

Her eyes, blue and big

With green specks blinking through

Her red hair, curly and  unruly

Always in a top-knot tangled

An effortless look, effortlessly elegant

Nothing she could do could strip away away her beauty

Except one thing, her persona, parents, poverty…

All these things foregoing wrong, she was perfect

But, not anymore

She’s poor and lies on the floor to sleep off the night before

Not the one for me, not now
